Join The Dow Chemical Company in recognizing Community Catalysts who are truly making a difference. One winner will be selected to receive a $1000 grant in recognition of his/her efforts and will be featured in a Dow Advertisement in Smithsonian magazine as well as on Smithsonian.com.

Who is eligible?
The contest is open to legal residents of the United States. Contestants must be at least 21 years of age at the time of entry. You may nominate yourself.

What are the prizes?
One Grand Prize of US$1,000 will be awarded.

When does the contest end?
Contest entries must be submitted by December 1, 2007.

How are entries judged?
Nominees should be actively working for the betterment of the community and exhibit characteristics in at least one of the following areas:
